Four has led the programme PR for The Box since 2022, with a brief to drive visitors and increase the profile South West’s major art gallery and museum.
Implementing a new strategy focused on driving audiences to visit as well as building critical engagement has seen high-profile media coverage in arts, consumer and national media. Highlights include a landmark Joshua Reynolds exhibition, which reclaimed the artist for his home town, and a major commission by John Akomfrah. The campaign has had a significant impact on the visitor figures and the standing of the organisation.
The Box museum had 246,000 visitors in 2022/2023, an increase of more than 40,000 on the previous year, with visitor numbers up almost 20%.
